Patient Types & Funding Options

We believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare.

We welcome all patients, including those funded or managed via government schemes, insurance, or private funding.

This page is designed to help you quickly see which funding or patient-type category you fall into, and how we can help you navigate it.

Self-Funded Patients (including those with Private Health)

Many of our patients choose to see us privately, without needing a referral or third-party funding.

Our physiotherapy and podiatry services are available to all self-funded patients, including those with extras cover under private health insurance. With on-the-spot claiming through HICAPS, you can swipe your private health card after your appointment and simply pay any remaining gap fee, no paperwork or waiting for reimbursements.

If you don’t have private health insurance, you’re still welcome to book directly. We offer clear, upfront pricing and flexible appointment options at both our Albion and West End clinics.

How it works with us:

  • No referral required for private appointments

  • Book an appointment online or by phoning the clinic.

  • Instant HICAPS claiming for most major health funds

  • Pay only the gap fee (if applicable)

Patients with a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan

If your regular GP has prepared a care plan for you — often known as a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GP CCMP), we welcome you at our clinic with full support for your physiotherapy and podiatry needs. This plan is designed for people living with a chronic or long-term medical condition (one that has been, or is likely to be, present for 6 months or longer) that benefits from sustained management.

How it works with us:

  • Your GP works with you to set the goals, treatment and allied-health supports as part of the plan, including referrals to physiotherapy or podiatry when needed.

  • You bring us your referral or copy of the plan, and we coordinate your physiotherapy and/or podiatry sessions in line with your plan’s goals e.g., maintaining mobility, managing pain, improving function.

  • We liaise with your GP to ensure your care is aligned and well-managed.

  • Medicare rebates apply for eligible items under this plan, making coordinated allied-health support more accessible. We do not bulk-bill GP CCMP referrals. All sessions are charged as per our fees. Upon receipt of payment, we will process your Medicare rebate into your nominated account.

Before your initial appointment:

  • Confirm with your GP that you have a valid GP Care Management Plan in place.

  • Make sure the plan allows referrals for physiotherapy and/or podiatry.

  • Bring your referral documentation or plan details to your first appointment with us.

Comprehensive Third-Party Insurance (CTP) Patients

People injured in a motor vehicle accident that wasn’t their fault may be eligible for a CTP insurance claim to help cover medical expenses, rehabilitation, income loss and other related costs. The Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) regulates Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance in Queensland to keep premiums affordable and support people injured in motor vehicle crashes.
Some individuals recover from their injuries and resume their usual activities without the need for treatment or rehabilitation, while others may require rehabilitation, such as physiotherapy or podiatry, to support their recovery.

The goal of rehabilitation is to help the injured person to return to their pre-accident condition.

How it works with us:

  • Book an appointment with us once your CTP claim is approved

  • We provide tailored physiotherapy or podiatry for accident-related injuries, including whiplash, musculoskeletal trauma, and post-accident rehab. Our aim is prompt assessment, structured rehabilitation and returning you to normal function or pre-accident activity as safely and efficiently as possible.

  • We liaise with your referring practitioner and/or insurer to ensure your care is aligned and well-managed.

  • We invoice the insurer directly.
