Damian Lazzaro

Clinical Director & Senior Physiotherapist - Albion & West End

Damian founded Brisbane Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation after returning to Australia from the United Kingdom in late 2020. Damian has treated English Premier League footballers, international recording artists, professional athletes and theatre stars. Regardless of who you are, Damian is committed to providing an outstanding quality of care.

His experience includes:

  • Clinical Lead and Senior Physiotherapist at one of Central London’s top sports medicine clinics

  • Team Physiotherapist with Great Britain Lions

  • Head Physiotherapist to Anglican Church Grammar School’s 1st XV Rugby Team

  • Inpatient physiotherapist at the Mater Private Hospital’s medical and orthopaedic wards

  • Work with the Federal Government

While Damian is skilled in managing all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, he has particular expertise in:

  • Lower back disorders - particularly lumbar disc pathologies

  • Knee pain - particularly disorders of the patellofemoral joint (anterior knee pain) and ligament injury

  • Shoulder pain - particularly impingement and adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)

  • Orthopaedics - particularly ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair/debridement, hip/knee/shoulder joint replacement, ankle reconstruction and shoulder arthroscopy.

  • Conservative management of orthopaedic injuries - particularly ACL tears, Achilles tears, recurrent shoulder dislocations and meniscus injuries.

  • WorkCover Queensland and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claims - particularly complicated cases.

Damian works closely alongside a number of Brisbane’s best Orthopaedic Surgeons and Sports Doctors to ensure his patients always achieve the best outcome. He combines his strong diagnostic skills with a wide array of treatment techniques including dry needling, massage and joint mobilisation/manipulation. He has expansive knowledge of exercise-based rehabilitation and builds bespoke programs to help you recover as efficiently as possible.

Nick Stamatiou

Registered Physiotherapist - West End

Nick has a strong interest in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is motivated to help people reach their desired goals and to achieve their full potential.

His experience includes:

  • Sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist in a private practice setting

  • Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation inpatient physiotherapist at Brisbane Private Hospital

  • Clinical Reformer and Mat-work Pilates instructor

  • Football gameday physiotherapist

While Nick is skilled in managing all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, he has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of muscle strains, hip, knee and lower back conditions. Nick offers dry needling, massage and joint mobilisation to compliment exercise prescription.

Ebony Fogg

Registered Physiotherapist - West End

Ebony is a physiotherapist with a special interest in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, as well as women’s health. She is passionate about helping patients to continue moving through injury towards their goals.

Her experience includes:

  • Sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapist in a private practice setting

  • Women’s health physiotherapist in a private practice setting

  • AFL and Rugby Union gameday physiotherapy 

  • Clinical exercise including reformer and mat-based pilates

  • Pre- and post- natal exercise

  • Clinical Research regarding adolescent Injuries

While Ebony is skilled in managing all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, she has a particular interest in rehabilitation of sporting and overuse injuries, as well as post-surgical management of orthopaedic conditions. She is also passionate about working with adolescents with sporting injuries, and enjoys working within the pre- and post- natal space with women’s health. Ebony combines her diagnostic skills with a range of treatment techniques including massage, joint mobilisations, and exercise prescription and provision to ensure best outcomes for her patients. 

Luke Pozzoli Physio

As a physiotherapist with a diverse treatment background ranging from sporting injuries to chronic pain and high care, Luke understands the stress and worry that can come from an injury or illness. Luke is passionate about equipping people with the skills and knowledge they require to both assist with their conditions and ensure they return to doing the things they love.

His experience includes:

  • Sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapist in a private practice setting

  • Hockey gameday physiotherapy

  • Neck/jaw pain and headache rehabilitation

  • Neurological rehabilitation

  • Clinical pilates including all mat and equipment training

While Luke has vast experience in managing all areas of musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy, he has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of neck, shoulder and jaw dysfunction as well as acute injuries. Luke utilises a combination of education, exercise, dry needling and manual therapy to achieve the best results for his clients.

Tev Pillai

Registered Physiotherapist & Registered Podiatrist - Albion

Tev is a dual-qualified podiatrist and physiotherapist with special interests in sports, musculoskeletal, and biomechanical care. He is passionate about utilising his knowledge from both professions to provide holistic and enhanced care for his patients.

His experience includes:

  • Sports and musculoskeletal podiatrist in a private practice setting

  • In-house shoe and orthotic research

  • Computerised gait and running analysis with pressure and force-plate systems

Tev is skilled at managing all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and podiatry with particular interests in back, lower limb, and foot conditions. Tev employs a variety of therapies including massage, joint mobilisation, and footwear prescription/modification in addition to exercise rehabilitation.

Podiatry services offered at Albion:

  • Custom or prefabricated orthoses

  • Skin and nail care including corn and callus management

  • Conservative ingrown toenail management

  • Cracked/split heels and fissure care

  • Footwear assessment and adjustments (including met domes, heel raises and custom foam pads to insert into your shoes)

  • Exercise prescription

Tev is currently not offering the following podiatry services from our clinic:

  • Nail surgery

  • Diabetic ulcer and wound care

  • Cryotherapy

Lisa King

Receptionist

Lisa is the friendly face that greets you on arrival at the Albion clinic.

With an extensive background in allied health administration, Lisa loves getting to know clients and providing them with efficient, yet warm and caring customer service.

When not at work, she loves to spend time with her growing family (especially her new little granddaughter).  Lisa enjoys an active lifestyle including: going to the gym, doing reformer pilates classes as well as regular walks along the Brook with her little golden Malshi, Maisie.

Lisa also enjoys a nice glass of ‘red’ on a Friday when relaxing from a busy work week.

Rory Wilkinson

Rory Wilkinson

Receptionist

Rory was born and raised locally in Albion.

He is a keen runner and enjoys middle to long-distance events as well as track and field. His fastest time for a 5km run is an incredible 17’20”!

When not in the Physio clinic, Rory is at University studying to become a Physiotherapist! On University holidays, Rory likes to go snowboarding with his favourite location being Whistler, Canada.

Magnus is a chocolate labrador and our practice pooch. When not at the clinic, he enjoys:

  • Being a good boy

  • Long walks on the beach

  • Treats

  • Pats

  • Playing with other dogs

  • Chasing lizards

While Magnus is not qualified to provide Physiotherapy services, he is qualified to brighten up your day.
